THE KRAV MAGA LONDON METHOD
We build capability, not just techniques.
At Krav Maga London, we do not teach students to memorise isolated self-defence moves. We teach people how to move, strike, think, adapt and make decisions under pressure. Our training combines Krav Maga principles with movement, striking fundamentals, awareness, prevention, progressive pressure training and realistic scenario-based learning. The result is a structured pathway that helps complete beginners become more confident, more capable and better prepared for real-life situations.
THE PROBLEM WITH TECHNIQUE-ONLY TRAINING
Techniques are important, but techniques alone are not enough.
A defence can fail if the student does not understand distance, timing, balance, movement, striking, pressure, decision-making and how violence actually develops. That is why our training is structured differently.
THE SIX PILLARS OF OUR METHOD
1. Movement
2. Practical striking
3. Awareness and prevention
4. Krav Maga principles
5. Progressive pressure training
6. Scenario-based self-defence
1. MOVEMENT BEFORE TECHNIQUE
Before any defence works, your body must be in the right place.
Students learn how to move off the line of attack, maintain balance, create space, use footwork, improve positioning and escape danger.
2. PRACTICAL STRIKING
Self-defence requires the ability to strike with purpose.Students develop punching fundamentals, kicking fundamentals, elbows, knees, power generation, targeting, defensive striking and follow-up actions.
3. AWARENESS AND PREVENTION
The best self-defence begins before physical contact.Students learn threat recognition, boundary-setting, verbal skills, avoidance, de-escalation and escape decisions.
4. KRAV MAGA PRINCIPLES
We teach students why solutions work, not just what to copy.Students learn simple reactions under stress, defence and counter-attack, adapting to different attacks, adapting to different body types and protecting themselves or others.
5. PROGRESSIVE PRESSURE TRAINING
Confidence must be built safely. We gradually increase pressure so students learn to function when tired, surprised, under resistance, working against aggression and making decisions quickly.Safe training. Realistic intention.
6. SCENARIO-BASED SELF-DEFENCE
Real situations are messy.Training can include grabs, holds, chokes, strikes, ground situations, knife threats, weapon problems, third-party protection and confined-space problems.
A CLEAR PATHWAY FOR BEGINNERS
Complete beginners do not need to jump into the deep end.
You can start with our 12-week Fundamentals Programme, then progress into regular classes, specialist seminars, online learning and the Krav Maga Global progression pathway.
WHY THIS MATTERS
This method helps students become more confident, more aware, fitter, stronger and better able to protect themselves and others. This is the difference between learning techniques and developing real self-defence capability.
